Heart Disease- leading killer in both women and men.  More problematic than death is premature death and disability.  Typical symptoms are often missed by patients themselves and doctors.  In addition to chest pain, other symptoms include: jaw pain, shoulder ache, nausea, vomiting and shortness of breath.  The American Heart Association lists risk factors for heart disease as: Increasing age, male sex, heredity, smoking, high blood cholesterol, high blood pressure, physical inactivity, obesity and overweight, diabetes.
