Inflammation: An Ugly Word with Ugly Conventional Remedies – Supply Side Community

Supply Side Community

Inflammation is the beginning of all pain. Inflammation is caused by the release of a prostaglandin (PGEI) and is sustained by an enzyme called Cyclooxygenase (COX-2). It’s interesting—cancer cells have been found to be surrounded by abnormally heavy concentrations of the COX-2 enzyme.

So, is it possible to control inflammation and possibly cancer by controlling these enzymes? Studies have shown that habitual aspirin users have less inflammation and cancer. The negative of chronic aspirin: it inhibits COX-1, the protective prostaglandin for the lining of the digestive tract, and weakens the blood vessels. Without adequate COX-1 protection, it could lead to leaking of the blood vessels and ulcers. Temporary use of aspirin is fine, but prolonged use may lead to serious side effects.

Where does one turn for relief when they have achy joints or a chronic inflammatory issue? There was the miracle of “selective COX-2” inhibitors, such as Vioxx, Bextra, Celebrex, the list goes on. These drugs seemed wonderful when they emerged on the market. They didn’t cause ulcers or weaken the blood vessels, so expectations were high. Later, scientists found that these “wonder drugs” were not so wonderful after all: The better results experienced were offset by heart attacks and strokes induced by blood clots. The risks and patient-related lawsuits were so great that FDA temporarily removed most of these drugs from the market.

Remember that inflammation is the cause of pain both acute and chronic. If an anti-inflammatory product could be found that would inhibit COX-2 and possibly 5-LOX without side effects, it would be superior to any other pain-relieving medication. This form of therapy would stop the pain or cause of pain—inflammation.

I believe there is an answer for all chronic pain and inflammation, and possibly cancer. Medical experts seem to agree on one thing; (generally) that inflammation is the cause of most diseases. I know that diet can help control inflammatory factors and practices, such as acupuncture, meditation, biofeedback, cranial sacral work, and other forms of more natural approaches can help.

But what is the real answer to preventing this ugly word—inflammation—that leads to so many debilitating diseases and/or conditions?

TOP 10 SOURCES OF HARMFUL SWEETENER – Dr. Hotze.com

Dr. Hotze The Real Hormone Expert

Dr. Hotze Logo

(NaturalNews.com) Millions of Americans still have no idea that many of the beverages and foods they eat on a regular basis are contaminated with a neurotoxin posing as a sugar substitute. So to help raise awareness about the pervasive presence of toxic aspartame in the American food supply, Mike Adams, the Health Ranger, has released a helpful infographic that identifies the top ten worst sources of aspartame. The infographic highlights the use of aspartame in chewing gums, tabletop sweeteners, flavored water products, sugar-free foods and beverages, diet sodas, drink flavoring products, cooking sauces, children’s medicines, yogurts, and cereals. And while these are not the only sources of aspartame in the food supply, they are among the most common.

“At every point in the fertility process aspartame destroys, beginning with the gleam in Mom and Pop’s eyes: it ruins female sexual response and induces male sexual dysfunction,” wrote Dr. James Bowen, a neurologist and chemist. “Beyond this, aspartame disrupts fetal development by aborting it or inducing defects. And if a live child is born aspartame may have heinously damaged the DNA of the baby, cursing future generations.” This is just one of the many side effects of consuming aspartame, of course, but it is one of the most serious. Millions of people think that using aspartame instead of sugar will help them safely lose weight, when in fact aspartame is far more harmful than even processed sugars like high-fructose corn syrup (HFCS).

7 Pains You Should Never Ignore – Men’s Health

7 Pains You Should Never Ignore – Men’s Health

7 PAINS YOU SHOULD NEVER IGNORE

Although you may dread the doctor, these health problems should never be ignored

Most of the time, it’s good that the little Vince Lombardi sitting on our shoulder tells us to shut up and play through the pain, otherwise we’d never get anything done. On the other hand, there are a few instances in which we can actually talk ourselves out of existence.
That’s what happened to NBC reporter David Bloom. While covering the war in Iraq from his specially outfitted armored vehicle, he began to feel pain behind his knee. He reportedly sought out medical advice by satellite phone, decided not to follow the advice—”Go to a doctor”—popped a few aspirin, and kept right on going. Three days later, Bloom died of a pulmonary embolism caused by deep-vein thrombosis. He was 39.
The ache that Bloom blew off is one of 7 pains that no man should ever ignore. And no, this isn’t negotiable.
