Gluten is a specific type of protien and is not found in meat or eggs. Gluten is found in wheat, rye and barley. If someone is allergic to gluten or has celiac disease, a gluten-free diet may be required. Celiac disease causes damage in the intestinal tract and symptoms can include diarrhea, bloathing and feeling lethargic after eating. Saying no to processed foods, breads, corns and malt is a good rule of thumb when trying to avoid foods with gluten.
